ENTRY REQUIREMENTS



FOR STAFF OR VOLUNTEERS WORKING IN RESIDENTIAL CHILDCARE OR SUPPORTED ACCOMMODATION

Learners must be working in a residential childcare or supported accommodation setting where they can demonstrate their practice throughout the programme.




Supporting children or young people

This qualification is designed for practitioners who are supporting children and young people in a residential childcare or supported accommodation role.




Commitment to professional development

Learners should have the communication skills needed to work effectively with children, young people, colleagues and other professionals.




MATHS AND ENGLISH SKILLS

A good standard of Maths and English is recommended. This will be assessed as part of the initial application process. Functional Skills in Maths and English can be supported if required.
