ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

WORKING IN A SCHOOL SETTING

Working in a school setting Learners must be working in a school environment where they can support teaching and learning and demonstrate specialist practice throughout the programme.

Currently in an education support role

This qualification is designed for experienced school support staff who are already supporting pupils and working alongside teachers in the classroom.

MATHS AND ENGLISH SKILLS

A good standard of Maths and English is recommended. This will be assessed as part of the initial application process. Functional Skills in Maths and English can be supported if required.

Functional Skills (if required)

Learners who do not already hold Level 1 or above in English and maths may be required to complete Functional Skills as part of the programme.
